Why should you join the Calgary Snowmobile Club?
The most important reason is to hang out with like-minded individuals who love to snowmobile!
Other reasons you should join the Calgary Snowmobile Club:
- Snowmobile clubs and Provincial associations fight the battles to open and keep open public land to snowmobilers. There is strength in numbers.
- To educate and help reinforce sled safety. The Calgary Snowmobile Club offers financial incentives to Club members who become avalanche trained (minimum level of AST 1). In addition there are also opportunities to participate in first aid and backcountry safety courses. The more people that are educated the safer the sport of snowmobiling becomes!
- Opportunities to meet new riding partners who ride at your pace (whether that be carving up the deep powder, climbing up to the highest peaks, tearing up the trails with the “high milers” or enjoying a family oriented trail ride).
- The social aspect of being together with individuals who love the sport and want to share stories from last weekend’s epic day out in the untouched, deep powder and/or freshly groomed trails!
- Opportunity to meet up with fellow riders to talk “shop talk”.
- Opportunity to meet up with fellow riders to help maintain and “tweak”/fine tune each other’s sleds.
- Opportunity to meet up with other individuals who are planning a family day trip out on some nearby scenic trails for a wiener roast.
- Learn new riding areas throughout central and southern Alberta and into the mountains of BC.
- To have a voice within the Club to promote your ideas and to ensure its longevity for generations to come.
Cost (prior to January 1st):
Individual/Family Membership - $80 for first sled and $60 for each additional family member.
Corporate Membership - $150 which includes 1 trail pass, advertising and a chance to promote your product to club members.
(Fees increase $10 per individual after January 1st)
Membership includes an Alberta Snowmobile Association trail pass. In addition, you will receive a free subscription to SnoRiders West Magazine and a monthly club newsletter via email (if we have your address). As well the newsletter will be posted on this web site.
